How to Install IPTV on Apple TV (2026 Guide)
Want IPTV on your Apple TV? Install a good player app from the App Store and you are set — no extra box or jailbreak needed. This guide walks you through installing MaxPlayer on tvOS, adding your playlist, and fixing the most common issues, in just a few minutes.
MaxPlayer is an IPTV player — it plays your own content. It does not include or sell channels, streams or subscriptions. You bring your IPTV playlist (M3U or Xtream Codes) and MaxPlayer plays it.
What you'll need
- An Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K
- An active internet connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)
- Your IPTV playlist — an M3U URL or Xtream Codes login from your provider

Step 1 — Install MaxPlayer from the App Store
- Open the App Store on your Apple TV.
- Go to Search and type MaxPlayer — or hold the Siri button and say "MaxPlayer".
- Choose Get to install the app.
- When it finishes, select Open.

Troubleshooting
Playlist won't load? Double-check the M3U URL or Xtream credentials for typos, and make sure the list is still active with your provider.
